The Crossover Pack Camp Out is Scheduled for May 29 – 31 at Fort Wilderness.
A Scout is Reverent: Scout Sunday
This Sunday, February 8th, 2009 is revognized by the Boy Scouts of America as Scout Sunday. All Scouts and their families are encouraged to attend their respective faith’s religious observance and to display their Class A uniforms.
The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church will be holding a Mass at 12:00pm Sunday February 8th and several local Scouts will be honored and receiving awards. Please feel free to join us on this special occasion with your Scout. There will be 5 rows of reserved seats in front of the ambo (pulpit) for Scouts.

Pinewood Derby and Chili Cook-Off January 31st

Come join us on Saturday, January 31st for Pinewood Derby Racing and a Chili Cook-Off.
Beginning at 9:00am in the Social Hall.
- We need four (4) parents to set – up. Set – up is at 8:00 am.
- Kids need to arrive by 9:30 for testing and weighing.
- Final inspection and log in is at 10:30 am.
- Tigers will race immediately afterwards. They only compete with each other.
- Chili Judging will be at 11:00 am.
- Eating commences after judging, during races.
- Final race should be completed by 1:00 pm at the latest. Tigers DO NOT have to stay unless they want to.
- We need four (4) parents to set up.
- We need five (5) parents to help set up races – “Race Set – Up Helpers”
- We need (4) parents to help in the Kitchen – “Kitchen Helpers
- Unlimited Chili Entries
- We need donations of drinks, salad and chips.
Magnolia Park Camp Out is rescheduled for April 3 – 5, 2009

Chief Jim Sawgrass will lead the Fireside Program on Saturday April 4th for our Scouts.
The sign-up will be a paper sign-up through each individual Den Leader. The cost is $20 a night per family (up to 5 five people, $5 each additional family member). It will include group camping in tents and two evening meals, plus the program! Must provide own tent and breakfast and lunch items.

IF anyone would like to camp in the family camper area, they have to make those reservations themselves over the phone and then their cost would only be $20 per family for the two meals…
On Saturday night, join Jim Sawgrass “Respect and Reverance for the Camp Fire” Program which will include demonstrations, singing, dancing, drumming and lighting the fire.
